On November 23, 2018 members of Welcome to Armenia Diplomatic Association visited Saghmosavank monastic complex and COAF SMART Center located in Lori.
Diplomatic spouses and representatives of international organizations commissioned to Armenia enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the educational hub, touring around the building and learning about the structured courses in robotics, science, blockchain, software programming and coding, foreign languages, theater, music and dance, agriculture, fine arts, web/graphic design, and app development.
Irina Igitkhanyan, the president of the association, mentioned that Welcome to Armenia was intended to help the diplomatic corps to learn about the rich historic and cultural heritage and traditions of the country. She stated that this year’s initiative – the trips to Saghmosavank and COAF SMART Center – aimed at presenting not only Armenia’s past but also the fast-developing area of information technologies, science and modern architecture of the country.
Asel Urazyaeva, the spouse of Ambassador of Kazakhstan, said she was fascinated with what she saw at COAF SMART Center. “It’s apparent that COAF SMART has a great input in children’s lives. COAF creates the future of the country through children that, hopefully, will stay and work in their communities.”
