Members of Welcome to Armenia diplomatic association recently paid a visit to the COAF SMART Center located in Lori. The association, consisting mostly of diplomatic spouses and international representatives serving in Armenia, had the opportunity to tour the Center and learn about offerings such as robotics, science, blockchain, software programming and coding, foreign languages, theater, music and dance, agriculture, fine arts, web/graphic design, and app development.
Irina Igitkhanyan, president of Welcome to Armenia, mentioned how the association was established with the purpose of introducing the rich cultural and historic heritage of Armenia to diplomatic corps stationed in the country.
This year’s initiative included a visit to the monastery of Saghmosavank, along with the COAF SMART Center. This was aimed at presenting both Armenia’s past, as well as its present.Asel Urazyaeva, the spouse of Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Armenia, said she was fascinated with what she saw at the COAF SMART Center. “It’s apparent that COAF SMART has great input in the lives of children. COAF creates the future of the country through children who will hopefully stay and work in their communities.”
