August 2006: Celebrating a Milestone, Looking to the Future
In January of this year, we expanded our program by launching the Model Cluster project, based on our unique approach to integrated rural development. COAF is currently working to replicate the successes of our pilot village Karakert in five more of Armenia’s 900 villages. Just as we brought new life to the 1,200 children of Karakert — through renovated school, kindergartens and community center, sanitary and safe living conditions, fully refurbished ambulatory and first-rate primary health care services, increased family income, and more — so we aim to improve the lives of 16,600, including 6,985 children, in our cluster villages.
October 2005: A Generation Being Saved Gala Dinner
Having delivered such significant benefits, we are encouraged to extend our programs beyond Karakert. We must replicate the integrated rural development project in villages throughout Armenia with similar conditions. We must reach out to the thousands of needy children before time runs out.
June 2004: Welcome letter from Save a Generation dinner
The stakes are higher than ever to give this generation of Armenian children the proper environment in which to remain true to the first-world heritage to which they were born. Without their freedom to fully pursue the best in themselves, we will never realize the best that could be Armenia.
December 2003: Report from Karakert
During the past year, with the generous support of donors like you, COAF has been able to begin the process of addressing the critical needs of Armenia’s young people. But given the severity and urgency of the issues at stake, we have only just begun to scratch the surface.
September 2003: The state of Armenia today
The people in the rural towns and villages, who represent the hearts and the souls of Armenia, our values, culture and history, remain beneath the radar screen of the Diaspora and the government.
